I had posted 2 times on backyard chicken forums last spring. And I searched through the archives...nothing. I'm sticking with the iodine spray until I can run into someone who knows something more. Huckleberries grow anywhere in the woods where I am. I'm in ID, I think around 4500ft. We don't have to worry about elevation. The Huckleberries were small this year. Maybe yours will be bigger.
