Chugging Along
We have been back to school for 3 weeks now. And we are expecting a baby in April. I have been doing a lot less. And doing everything much slower. One of the things near the bottom of the list is posting blogs. So I am not posting as much in case you wondered.
Last night the temperature got down to 34. My cucurbits are all dead. Temperatures are expected to be only down in the 40′s the rest of the week. I may wait and see what happens before I pick all my green pumpkins. Normally I pay better attention, but morning sickness lends one to care a lot less about the garden.
I’m hoping my peaches have time to ripen all the way. They are just starting to blush.
The children set out the potatoes to cure.
Bye bye Golden Sex-Links.
They were my first batch of layers 2 yrs ago.
I sold them yesterday and they went very quickly.

Simblings as Best Friends
The secret to having children who are best friends, rests in correcting attitudes.
Many years ago the Lord revealed this secrete to me: He judges our hearts.
And he will judge our childrens hearts too.
When we train up our children, we need to train up their hearts also. Ongoing sibling difficulties are really hearts that need to be guided. When a child’s heart is not full of, jealousy, pride etc. all sibling conflicts are trivial and easily resolved.
Set the boundaries for appropriate ways to express emotion. For us, this mostly means the way we are to talk to each other.
Don’t overlook language. If one child is boasting to another child what is the intention really. Is it the spirit you want to encourage? Is it the habit which you want to get ingrained?
Take the time to train a young child early in The Straight and Narrow Way. Provide an environment where children are free to invest in each other without negative consequences.
A mother’s greatest joy is seeing her children become best friends.
