These are some of my Christmas knitting projects:

I love how thick and big the pot holders are. They are knit holding 3 strings together. I can’t wait to replace all my old ones with these.

I’ve been working on this Smock with Sheep and Shoes by Debbie Bliss. It is rather slow going so I’ve had to take a break a few times to work on other things.
Like these booties for little one.
And some more for my friend who delivered her baby this morning.
This was the first sweater I ever knit. I never got around to sewing the buttons on. The pattern called for those teeny tiny white buttons and I couldn’t think how to sew a button on at the time. And I couldn’t see how the sweater would stay buttoned with those teeny tiny buttons. And I still don’t think it would.
I’m not a yarn snob either. The knitting field is full of them. I like both hand spun and many acrylics.
I love the baby bunting.
Originally I picked the pattern based on what I would enjoy knitting, but I really love the bunting. The only time I don’t use the bunting is when the baby needs to be buckled into the car seat or when I want a tight swaddle. The only downside is that baby’s little fingers get cold.
I ordered this as a kit from Mary Maxim. Kits are great when you don’t want to spend too much time planning. I had a few rows left to finish when baby was born. Now I’m going to have to dig a little for a new project. I have lots of yarn I really want to use up. And leftover yarn from previous projects, the hardest to figure into something new.
How do you use up your leftover yarn?
